Delivery Information

Welch Home Delivery

Please allow up to 7-10 working days for local deliveries of orders that contain only timber products, if there are any concrete items then delivery is approx. 10-14 days. For nationwide deliveries we are on approx. 10-14 days (excluding weekends and bank holiday). Although lead times may alter during busy times. We cannot make a delivery to you without a contact telephone number. Unfortunately, we cannot specify times of delivery.

Express Delivery

The lead time is 2-4 working days, it will be made on a courier delivery service. Our carriers deliver between hours of 7.00am- 6.00pm Mon-Fri. We cannot make a delivery to you without a contact telephone number. Unfortunately, we cannot specify times of delivery.

Click & Collect

We will email you when the order is ready for collection, usually it will be available straight away but if it is a panel that is specially made then it could be 2-3 days. If you are using outside haulage you MUST call the office on 01772 336476 with the size and type of vehicle so we can discuss access. The collection address is Welch Fencing Ltd, 22 Chain House Lane, Whitestake, Preston, PR4 4LE.

Deliveries are normally made by a 32 ton 8 wheeler wagon with a crane on board to unload the materials; The size of the vehicles are approx. 37ft long and 10ft2 wide. Our drivers are very helpful and will always try to leave the fencing as conveniently positioned as possible. Unless otherwise stated, all deliveries will be made to the nearest hard standing area (kerbside or drive). We are not responsible for any additional lifting or carrying of your goods. Due to insurance guidelines, delivery personnel are unable to enter private residences. The recipient of the products is responsible for any additional lifting once the delivery has been made.

It is the responsibility of the ‘The Customer’ to provide free and unobstructed access for product delivery and subsequent usage. Any failed, abortive or return delivery charges shall be recovered from ‘The Customer’ at cost. It is the responsibility of ‘The Customer’ to notify any access concerns to ‘The Company’ at point of order.

For nationwide deliveries it is possible that we use our couriers pallet service (Please see ‘MAIL ORDERS’ for further information.) We leave it entirely at the drivers discretion whether or not it is suitable to drive on your property.

“Local” North West Welch Home Delivery

We will email you with the delivery date, the delivery will be made on either one of our small pick-up vehicles or one of our 32t crane wagons (4 x axle, 10ft2 wide and 37ft long). It is dependent on the order as to which vehicle we use for delivery. If there are any problems with access, then please let us know at the time of placing the order.

Nationwide Welch Home Delivery

We will email you with a two-day window slot for delivery, the delivery will be made on one of our 32t crane wagons (4 x axle, 10ft2 wide and 37ft long). If there are any problems with access, then please let us know at the time of placing the order.

Express Delivery

We will either call you or email you to arrange delivery. This delivery method would be made on outside couriers and not our own fleet. There is a possibility that they may require somebody there to physically assist the driver, but if this is the case then we would ring you to confirm a suitable delivery date.

It is NOT a craned off delivery, we need an able bodied person(s) to physically assist with the unloading of the delivery of our products, which are dispatched on pallets. Because of the nature of these deliveries sometimes the pallet(s) will need to be split on the vehicle with your assistance as well as the drivers. All deliveries are made on pallets and come on a tail-lift vehicle and where possible will be dropped on the nearest hard standing area. For goods which are delivered by our pallet courier you will need to arrange for someone to sign for the receipt of the goods. Our goods are inspected before despatch and should be checked for faults on delivery.

1. Delivery times apply to items in stock
2. If any items you order are not available we will use the telephone or email details you have provided to contact you and discuss how you wish to proceed. If you are not available to contact we will use our discretion and send you the items that are available, and possibly a substitute for the unavailable item (s) or refund you accordingly.
3. Deliveries normally occur between 7am and 6pm. The exact timing of delivery cannot be specified.
4. Working days are classified as Monday to Friday and exclude bank holidays.
5. Unless otherwise stated, all deliveries will be made to the nearest hard standing area (kerbside or drive). We are not responsible for any additional lifting or carrying of your goods. Due to insurance guidelines, delivery personnel are unable to enter private residences. The recipient of the products is responsible for any additional lifting once the delivery has been made.
6. We do not deliver items to multiple addresses. All orders will be delivered to a single address. For security reasons your first order using a credit/debit card for the first time when placed online or by phone will need to be delivered to the cardholder’s address. Subsequent orders can then be made to an alternative address.
7. Please leave a daytime telephone number (landline and/or mobile) as we may contact you to arrange a convenient delivery date.
8. Delivery is available to all UK mainland addresses. Customers living in some remote rural areas should note some services are not available. If you live in one of these areas, our Restricted Delivery Table will show you the affected postcodes and available delivery services.
9. We strongly recommend that you do not book fitters or tradesmen until your order has actually been delivered and checked by you. We cannot be held responsible for any third-party charges incurred due to non-delivery of an order, or orders that have not been checked on delivery.
10. It is the responsibility of the ‘The Customer’ to provide free and unobstructed access for product delivery and subsequent usage. 11. Goods are collected 3 days before your delivery date, if cancelled in this time you will be charged delivery charge there and back.

Please note once goods have been delivered the transfer of ownership and any liabilities will be transferred to you.

These items can be delivered to UK MAINLAND addresses only (England, Scotland and Wales).
Any delivery that is not mainland UK please call for a quote.

After placing your order, we will work out the weights for the vehicles and allocate the earliest date available which will then be emailed to the email address you provide- please note this may fall into your junk mail. If the date isn’t suitable please call 01772 336476 and we will be happy to amend this to a date after that date.

On delivery goods will be hand balled or craned off to the nearest hard standing area. Delivery does not include carrying goods up paths, to rear gardens or dwellings. For more information please see our Terms and Conditions.

• A full and correct UK postcode.

We try and keep our delivery charges to a minimum so therefore only send one driver and so does our courier. If heavy items are ordered an able fit person(s) must be present to aid with offloading of delivery.
